Welcome to Grandpa’s Guesthouse, Cabin and the Riverhouse. When visiting Mountain View, we know that you can choose to stay at any cabin; that’s why we try to offer an experience and not just a cabin.
We had a wonderful stay in your cabin. It is such a pretty place inside & out! We’ll be back and bring family& friends with us.

Grandpa’s Guesthouse and Cabin are located on 5 acres near the Ozark Folk Center; just minutes from both
downtown Mountain View, AR and the White River. Our guesthouse is named after the former owner, Grandpa Jones, and a Grandpa close to my heart, my husband Danny. We have tried to capture the essence of the Ozarks with our vintage log home and cabin. Both are furnished with local artwork, crafts, and collectibles. During nice weather, enjoy a pickin’ on the front porch. When it cools down, move your pickin’ inside next to the fireplace. While capturing a moment in time, we do offer all the modern conveniences you have come to expect.
The Riverhouse sits on the bank of the White River. This is the place to get away from it all. Relax, fish and enjoy nature. The wrap around porch offers a view of the river, bluffs and mountains from every side. It’s an easy stroll across the mowed lawn to the river’s edge. Enjoy over 200’ of your own private riverfront. The property corners a small creek and the river, so it offers different fishing and swimming opportunities. Launch your boat near the cabin at the private access or down the road at the Game and Fish access. Fish for trout, bass, crappie or catfish. Watch for bald eagles, great blue herons, pileated woodpeckers, turkeys, humming birds and more. Spend your evenings listening for owls and whip-or-wills or chasing fireflies. Look at the stars in the night sky. This is the place that our grandchildren and their Poppa like best. You can ride your ATV’s for miles on back country roads, hike, swim, and fish or just relax on the hammock and read a book.
We cordially invite you to take a moment to visit each of our three cabins online and see which one offers the experience you are looking to enjoy. Please feel free to post your favorite “Grandpa“picture and story on our blog.
